Remake Policy

Our Policy

We are continually striving to produce the best quality products with precision and attention to detail. Even though our remake rate averages less 2%, we understand that human error occasionally happens. In the event of the need for a remake, we would like for you to send back the following if an error has occurred:

1. The original case and model
2. The original lab script and case number
3. A detailed description of the error and what needs to be corrected

The cost of fabricating custom made dental appliances cannot be refunded. The Remake and Warranty Policy is valid only if a continual business relationship is present with GDT Lab.

When all information is received and evaluated, we will credit your account accordingly. Each case will be evaluated on a case by case basis to better serves your needs.

We cannot be held responsible for poorly made impression that the doctor instructs to go ahead and make the case

All remakes will be at no charge if received within 60 days of the invoice date except under the following circumstances:

1. GDT inquired about the margin or impression, but the dentist/lab approved and requested completion of the case.
2. GDT requested a try-in with teeth, but the dentist/lab declined and asked for a completed case.
3. A try-in with teeth was not requested by the office (start to finish cases).
4. The teeth are re-prepared
5. There is a shade or material change different from the original request
6. The partial denture fits the master cast

For eligible remakes within 60 days without the original case, GDT shall remake these cases at 50% of the retail price of the restoration at the time the request is made. If the original model and dental restoration are returned within 30 days from the remake invoice date, GDT will evaluate and issue a 100% credit of the amount charged, if any, to the dentist’s/lab’s account.

Warranty of Work

GDT guarantees its work for 5 years against defects in materials and craftsmanship. The following appliances and services are not covered by any warranty because of their temporary or delicate nature:

• Acrylic temporaries
• Veneers
• Flippers
• Immediate Dentures (see below)
• Flexible Partials (see below)
• Rush Fees

GDT guarantees removable appliances for 2 years against breakage; normal wear and tear (including discoloration) is excluded. It is recommended that all removable appliances be cleaned daily using a removable dental appliance cleaner. For any type of complete or partial denture (including immediate dentures), no remake nor warranty applies unless there is record that the case was tried in with teeth before finishing.
